Packaging your bike
It is vital for your stay that your bike is in perfect working order, and arrives in Chamonix in one piece! We’ve had very little trouble with Geneva’s Swiss baggage handlers but its still worth ensuring your bike is prepared for travelling.
A protective bicycle specific bag (or even case for the cautious) is undoubtedly the most secure option, however, if you aren’t planning on using it regularly, a cardboard bicycle box from your local bike shop and an armful of pipe cladding and buble wrap is a worthy and more cost effective alternative.
